Description
A drawing of the proposed Administration Building by Herman Preusse, later contemptuously dubbed by President Bryan "the Castle." In 1892, the total fund for building at WSU was $60,000, yet the projected expense of Preusse's design was over $300,000. The Board of Regents rejected the proposal and instructed Preusse to design a small classroom (the future old College Hall) for under $10,000.
