1 map: hand col., 48 x 58 cm. <br>The Hudson's Bay Company had grown from being a small fur company to a powerful monopoly which held exclusive trade rights throughout western Canada. This maps comes from a British Parliamentary Committee report on the Hudson's Bay Company which resulted in the HBC being stripped of their exclusive rights in south central Canada (in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba), with the land being turned over to Canada for settlement.
