Title

Henry Rolled Gold Solid Thimbles

Description

This is an advertisement from 1885. It is for thimbles, which are used for sewing. This shows that sewing things by hand was common during the 1880s and also that it was worth buying a quality thimble that would last. Although the ad is small, there is a lot of text that accompanies he illustrations of the thimble. One of the illustrations depicts the thickness of the gold. Another detail that is included in the ad is the address of the jewelry store where these thimbles could be purchased so that the reader could check out the gold thimble if they desired to.
