11-24-1962. Washington State University lost to the University of Washington in this 42 minute silent black and white film. Washington State lost in the final minute when they refused to accept a tie and turned over the ball while going for the win. The game was played Nov. 24, 1962 in the then newly expanded Albi Stadium in Spokane, WA. The final score of the game was WSU 21 UW 26.1962 was reportedly the first year the "Apple Cup" was used as the game trophy (previously it had been the "Governor's Trophy." This was also the first year WSU returned to what would become the PAC-12 (it was then the AAWU) after a few years out following the dissolution of the conference.

Format

Original 16mm films were digitized using an Elmo TRV-16G telecine and VirtualDub 1.6.14. They were then combined (if necessary) and converted to mp3 format using Adobe Premiere Elements 9, after which they were uploaded to YouTube.
