"Cartoon shows two pairs of hands grasping for an Atom Bomb, one with a sleeve bearing a star and a cufflink reading "US," the other with a hammer and sickle. Probably drawn after President Truman announced in September 1949 that the Soviet Union had exploded an atomic bomb. Expresses concern over what may happen, now that the opposing superpowers both have atomic weapons capability."
